Cats lift Chief Idowu (NANF) under 15 Championship

The championship being organised by the National Association of Nigeria Footballers Featured Nine states and four invitational teams.

The championship which is fast gaining reputation in Nigeria disqualified five states for featuring overaged players.

The championship which was concluded at the mainbowl of the national stadium last week wednesday saw CAT"S beating the pepsi academy 2-0 to lift the cup with a price of #100,000 while pepsi academy the runners up to home #50,000 while the third place team who defeated defending champion Delta state went home with a bronze medal and #30,000.

Contacted to comment on the championship Mr Austin Popo secretary general of NANF said the competition is being used as talent facilitation programme of the association. Popo said talent discovered are being managed as properties of the association for attachment to clubs 9on loan until they are ripe for professional football.
