The national association of Nigerian footballers has concluded the arrangement with its foreign technical partners to establish 6 football colleges, one each in every geopolitical zone of the country. The football colleges concept that is research and packed by the national association of Nigeria footballers is to stem the current dangerous trend of the habit of children abandoning schools and their studies for football. The football college concept, which emanated form the Nanf school" the football pitch programme" is there for the panacea designed to catch and prepared school pupils within the ages of 6-15 years who has the natural talents to become great potential professional footballers side by side their education. The school will run conventional Nigeria schools curriculum with emphasis on football with basic and advance infrastructure for football development. In the light of the above, we are asking for the donation of 20 hectares of land for this unique project. The colleges will be sited in the states that are gracious enough to donate the land in each geopolitical zone. The architectural designs and plans will be sent to you in due course. The foundation laying ceremony is proposed for December 2003.
